In this FINANCIAL PLANNING article, David Schneider talks about the importance of being available to clients, stating that you need to quickly respond to client needs and be accessible “just as you would with a close friend or family member” adding that “I make it a priority to take my clients’ calls upon receiving them, and if I’m in a meeting or absolutely cannot take their call at that time, I set an internal deadline to return their call by the end of the day or first thing next morning,” since “Making people wait doesn’t make them feel good, and it might make them feel like they have to call someone else.”
